Capstone Project

My capstone project explored the purchase of capital equipment for DuckyWorld Products, Inc.’s financial benefit. This local business has experienced immense growth due to a new partnership with online retailers; however, these retailers have strict packaging requirements. I conducted time studies, participated in the RFP process with the company, and performed payback period analysis to show that the costs of capital equipment investment for packaging are easily recuperable due to the increase in productivity and decrease in labor costs. I recommended that DuckyWorld Products move forward with the purchase and continue the exploration of automated solutions for the rest of their product line.
